Six down forty-four to go…Here’s Connecticut by the numbers:

Total miles*: 234
*I set the odometer en route to Connecticut from Rhode Island and stopped it before I left.

Total money spent: $210.61 ($126.59 subtracting phone repair cost)
    Gas: $30.01
    Other transport (car maintenance): $0.50
    Food: $59.47
    Attractions: $9
Other: $111.63 ($84.02 for phone repair)

The Connecticut budget accounts for the three days I spent “taking a break” from the trip, which is why the food amount is so high – I bought real groceries and made my own food.
Total over budget: $10.61
Total under budget (subtracting phone repair cost): $73.41

Total nights spent with people I already knew: 0 in CT, 4 on break

Total nights spent with Couchsurfing Hosts: 4

Total nights spent with non-Couchsurfing Hosts: 0

Total nights spent in the car: 0

Total dates: 0

Total unexpected, but awesome experiences: 4

Total number of “Oh my gosh, what am I doing?! Am I freaking crazy?!” moments: 0

Total number of “This is so AMAZING, I can’t believe how AWESOME my life is!” moments: 2

Total number of hours spent on the blog: A bit, much too long on the latter half of the week’s posts.

Must-Sees: Dinosaur State Park, Rocky Hill, CT and the Yale area of New Haven, CT.
Skip if you’re crunched for time: Mark Twain House and Museum, Hartford, CT
